Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health's Marble Falls Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist with rehabilitation for patients with developmental, physical, and emotional impairments. Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will perform treatments, help restore autonomous functioning, communicate progress, and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• BLS certification, or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy treatments under supervision.
• Communicates progress to supervising therapist and updates plan of care.
• Establishes rapport with patients and families.
• Provides equipment and education before discharge.
• Documents patient treatment and progress in a timely manner.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintains continuing education requirements.
• Delivers educational programs when requested.
