Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support our in-house Rehab team in Texas.

The OTA will deliver patient-centered occupational therapy with supervision from an Occupational Therapist, ensure care plan adherence, and maintain timely documentation. Responsibilities include evaluating patient progress, coordinating with families, and attending Rehab Director meetings.

Qualifications

• Texas OTA license in good standing.
• COTA credential required and current.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OTA treatments to residents to improve function.
• Provide services under supervision of an OT per physician orders.
• Relay service requests and referrals to the OT.
• Deliver treatments per the care plan and documentation.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapies.
• Monitor responses and report changes to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings designated by Rehab Director.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
