Job summary

Recover-Care in Wichita, KS seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in providing comprehensive treatments and documenting progress. You will help develop plans, carry out routine functions, and direct activity programs to help clients progress.

Responsibilities include selecting therapy activities, observing progress, collaborating with health professionals, and teaching home programs along with adaptive equipment use. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current state licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and capabilities; observe progress and record in client records.
• Communicate and collaborate with other health care professionals involved in a patient’s care.
• Instruct or assist in home programs, basic living skills, and use of adaptive equipment; assist in implementing treatment plans.
• Assess daily living skills and assist patients in dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and teach coping strategies to patients.
• Attend care plan meetings to review progress and update plans.
