Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist with initial patient assessments and carry out treatment plans in an inpatient setting.

You will document progress, maintain department records, and help promote education within the department while supporting care across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Applicants must be OTA graduates, hold or be eligible for state licensure, be BLS certified, and have at least one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as COTA or eligible for licensure in the state.
• One year experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist with initial patient assessment per direction from O.T.R./L. and department policies.
• Document the course of patient care including progress notes and need for treatment.
• Administer modalities, exercise regimes, or treatments per policy.
• Maintain progress notes and departmental records on patients.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of needs across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Inpatient PhysicalMedicine Supervisor.
