Job summary

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitative services in a skilled nursing setting. This PRN/Per Diem role supports independence and functioning under the supervising OT.

You will implement treatment plans, work with the rehab team, and assist during evaluations, while teaching patients and caregivers the techniques of the program to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice occupational therapy (OTA).
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Excellent observation and communication skills; basic math ability.

Responsibilities

• Implement the patient’s individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support patient goals.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families and caregivers in therapy techniques as directed.
