Job summary

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification and licensure to practice.
• Ability to assess residents' functioning and participate in ADLs/IADLs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.
• Implement individualized treatment plans with therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Provide hands-on assistance and guidance during therapy sessions with a focus on safety.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to boost independence.
• Document resident progress and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with OT, nursing staff, and the care team to coordinate services.
• Collaborate with residents and families to set goals and educate on techniques.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning.
• Stay current on best practices and regulatory changes; pursue ongoing education.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to ethical standards.
