Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the AOTA.
• Must possess a current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administers occupational therapy treatment according to the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Implements individualized treatment plans considering patient age, education, cultural needs, and family involvement.
• Documents communication with supervising Occupational Therapist and other team members.
• Monitors treatment effectiveness and modifies plans as indicated.
• Participates in discharge planning and ensures patient and family involvement in care decisions.
• Ensures compliance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
