Job summary

Heritageturnerpark is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of professionals. You will help residents achieve independence and improved quality of life through person-centered OT services.

The role requires an active Texas OTA license and a COTA credential, with preferred SNF or long-term care experience. You will use Net Health for documentation and collaborate with an OT to deliver care per the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices and standard protocols.
• Proficient with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an OT according to physician orders.
• Relay service requests to the supervising OT.
• Ensure treatments follow the plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients and families.
• Monitor patient responses and report changes promptly.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings as required by Rehab Director.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long‑term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
