Job summary

Ahava Therapy Services in Paris, TN is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team at Henry County Health & Rehab. You will provide OTA services per treatment plans and support a broad spectrum of therapy within a 136-bed skilled nursing facility.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining records, and staying compliant with OBRA, HIPAA, and reimbursement guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
• Active OTA license or eligibility under state statutes for practice.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
• Observe, record, and report conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
• Maintain daily treatment records and document progress notes as directed.
• Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
• Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines.
• Support the company’s mission and vision and project a professional image.
• Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed.
• Maintain expected productivity levels.
