Job summary

La Hacienda De Paz Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide person-centered care and help residents improve independence and quality of life. You will work under an OT, plan and administer treatments, document thoroughly, and collaborate with families and caregivers.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas OT license and COTA credential; SNF/LTC experience and Net Health familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
  • COTA credential required.
  • SNF/Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients.
  • Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT.
  • Respond to requests for service by relaying information.
  • Ensure all treatments follow the established plan of care.
  • Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes.
  • Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely.
  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)
  • Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
  • Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
  • Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
  • Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Or Long-term Care Experience Preferred

  • Experience With Net Health Electronic Documentation System Preferred
