Job summary

Alvarado-Meadows in Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. The OTA will provide person-centered care, plan and administer OT treatments, and work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to improve residents’ independence and quality of life.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas OTA license, COTA credential, and have SNF or long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OTA license.
• COTA credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist per orders.
• Respond to requests for service and coordinate with the OT.
• Deliver treatments according to the plan of care.
• Provide instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes.
• Complete required documentation in line with policy and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
