Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. You will plan and administer OT treatments to residents, under the supervision of an OT, to relieve pain and improve function.

This full-time role emphasizes person-centered care and collaborative teamwork in a SNF/long-term care setting. Active Texas OTA license and COTA credential are required, with good standing with licensing boards.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA credential are required.
• In good standing with licensing boards and regulatory agencies.
• SNF or long-term care experience is preferred.
• Current knowledge of OT treatment practices is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled OT services and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist per physician orders.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
