Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. This full-time position focuses on person-centered care to help residents regain independence and improve quality of life.

As an OTA, you will plan and administer treatments under supervision, document outcomes, and collaborate with the Director of Rehab and the treating OT. Texas licensure and a COTA credential are required; SNF or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
