Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Muncie, IN is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients perform exercises, ADL activities, and adaptive techniques to improve independence while maintaining accurate documentation and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0–1 years.
• Licensure: Must have and maintain a current OTA licensure or certification.
• CPR: Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
