Job summary

The Synchrony Rehab Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) position supports an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting, providing therapeutic interventions and monitoring progress. You will assist with exercises, ADL training, and collaboration with the care team to ensure quality patient outcomes in Ohio.

Role includes patient and family education on home programs, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and contributing observations to the supervising therapist.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years
• Licensure: Must have and maintain a current OTA license or certification
• CPR: Current CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and document patients' responses to therapy and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OT in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
