Charming Lakes Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Lakeland, FL. This PRN role focuses on implementing OT plans, ADL training, and activity-based therapy to improve residents’ independence and quality of life.

Charming Lakes Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our supportive, team-oriented rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys helping residents improve their independence, functional abilities, and quality of life.
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide occupational therapy interventions, including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities
Assist with individualized treatment programs based on each resident’s needs and goals
Organize and facilitate treatment groups as appropriate
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding therapy programs and strategies
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team collaboration
Monitor, clean, and maintain therapy equipment and report any equipment needs
Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life
Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while respecting each resident’s individual needs and rights
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Certification or eligibility for certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a COTA in the state of Florida
Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or related healthcare setting preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
