Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Bilingual Spanish - Remote (California)

As a Remote Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will provide occupational therapy services to clients remotely. You will collaborate with licensed Occupational Therapists to assess and implement appropriate treatment plans, monitor progress, and guide clients through virtual platforms. Your primary goal will be to help clients achieve their occupational therapy objectives and improve their functional abilities in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include:

1. Intervention: Provide remote occupational therapy services, including exercises, activities, and interventions to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
2. Education: Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and strategies to enhance independence and well-being.
3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes and other necessary documentation.
4. Compliance: Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA).
5. Technology: Effectively utilize telehealth platforms and tools for remote therapy sessions.
6. Continuing Education: Stay current with occupational therapy developments and engage in ongoing professional development.

Compensation:

W2 | $27.00 - $46.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and bilingualism.

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Active CA State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
• Experience in clinics, private practices, hospitals, or home health settings.
• Technical proficiency with teletherapy platforms.
• Comfort working with pediatrics (18 months+).
• Prefer experience with feeding, sensory processing, hand therapy, emotional regulation, and neurodiverse clients.
