Job summary

Cypress Ridge Care Center in Cypress, CA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy department. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help implement interventions to improve residents' daily living activities, mobility, strength, and independence.

This full-time role offers a starting hourly rate of $52–$55, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, holidays, a retirement plan, CE

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Document resident progress in accordance with center policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs.
• Assist with training in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging therapy environment.

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will assist in implementing therapeutic interventions designed to promote residents’ functional abilities, independence, and overall well-being.
