Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for PRN home health opportunities across Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and nearby communities. You will work under an OT, providing in-home therapy and building a caseload that fits your availability.

You decide your territory and schedule—cover Fredericksburg, Falmouth, Spotsylvania, Massaponax, or other areas you select.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia OTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during home visits while following the OT's established plan of care.
• Home health experience preferred, but not required.
• WellSky experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments in patients' homes.
• Follow established plans of care.
• Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional ability.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and other everyday activities.
• Reinforce safe use of adaptive equipment and home modifications.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve safety and independence.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using WellSky.

What You'll Do

Working under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will:

What We're Looking For

• Active Virginia Occupational Therapy Assistant License Required

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation

• Home Health Experience Preferred, but Not Required
