Job summary

Powers Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant-Provisional in East Chicago, IN. This 0.1 FTE, on-site role supports the Occupational Therapy team at St. Catherine Hospital by contributing to high-quality clinical practice in a specialized area.

Responsibilities include reviewing referrals and patient history, and delivering timely care to minimize wait times. Requires OTA credentialing, Indiana licensure, CPR, and a portfolio review.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistants program.
• Minimum of 5 years in direct patient care with post-graduate preparation or specialty certification.
• Indiana licensure and CPR certification current.
• BLT Course C (Basic Life Support) completed.
• Portfolio presentation to supervisor showing required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals, patient medication list, allergies and medical/surgical history.
• Deliver services promptly to minimize patient wait time and optimize care.
