The University of Iowa Center for Disabilities & Development seeks a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement prescribed rehabilitation protocols on day shift, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities include carrying out recovery plans, instructing patients, ensuring safety, and adjusting treatments as needed while collaborating with the supervising therapist. On-campus, full-time position with standard benefits.
The Center for Disabilities & Development is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant on day shift. This position will perform prescribed rehabilitation treatments according to established guidelines and protocols.Assignments are coordinated by a Occupational Therapist.Treatment is carried out independently by the Rehabilitation Assistant under general supervision.
An Associate Arts degree from an accredited Occupational or Physical Therapy Assistant program or completion of the requirements leading to educational exemption as defined by the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners is required.
Licensure in accord with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
