Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a Day Shift/PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our hospital-based rehab team.

This role supports delivery of prescribed care and contributes to patient progress within our OT department. You will provide clinical supervision to support staff, promote OT services, and participate in professional development while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in OTA required.
• Active Kansas OTA license.
• CPR and BLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• Day shift; PRN position in Topeka, KS.

Responsibilities

• Performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes occupational therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous medical setting or rehabilitation setting experience.
