Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a full-time, day-shift Occupational Therapist for outpatient services.

The role requires evaluating patients, planning care, and delivering prescribed therapy in accordance with AOTA standards and Kansas state regulations. Supervision of clinical support staff and service promotion are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and delivers prescribed care to assigned patients in line with AOTA standards and Kansas practice act.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes occupational therapy services and professional development across the organization and community.

Responsibilities

Performs occupational therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice act in the State of Kansas. Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff. Promotes occupational therapy services and professional development. throughout the organization and community. Reports to the assigned leader of department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy license in State of Kansas.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Previous medical setting or rehabilitation setting experience.
• Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
