Job summary

Total Care Therapy in Medina, OH is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our growing team. You will work under a licensed OT to provide patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress in the EMR, and educating residents and caregivers on safety and independence. We value clinician-led growth and supportive leadership in a thriving rehab company.

Qualifications

• Current State Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to the established plan of care.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence with ADLs, IADLs, upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and cognitive skills.
• Assist residents in improving functional performance, safety, and independence through individualized treatment approaches.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Complete documentation and treatment notes using an EMR system.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation, home safety, fall prevention, and strategies to maximize independence.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain a full clinical caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy services.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside a licensed

Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that helps residents improve mobility, increase strength, restore function, and maintain

their independence.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist and according to the established plan of care.

Implement therapeutic activities and interventions that promote independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), upper extremity function, coordination, strength, balance, and cognitive skills.

Assist residents in improving functional performance, safety, and independence through individualized treatment approaches.

Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Accurately complete documentation and treatment notes using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment, energy conservation techniques, home safety, fall prevention, and strategies to maximize independence.

Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Maintain a full clinical caseload while providing compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy services.
