Broadway by the Sea in Long Beach, CA is a post-acute care facility offering long-term and geriatric services. We are seeking a dedicated PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program to join an established team and contribute to patient recovery and quality of life.

The role supports screening, evaluation, and delivery of skilled therapy with emphasis on wound care when needed; flexible PRN scheduling and competitive pay of $38–$43 per hour based on experience are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• New grads welcome.
• PRN scheduling available and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with standing, walking, transfers, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Broadway by the Sea in Long Beach, CA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

PRN: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $38 - $43 /hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
