• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing care plans adhering to standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Assist with patient transfers and ensure safety during care.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and wound care as part of the plan.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries in compliance with requirements.

Sunday - Thursday Schedule

SeaCliff Healthcare Center in Huntington Beach, CA , is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. Full Time: Sunday - Thursday schedule Pay: $33 - $38/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to COTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
