Palomar Vista Healthcare Center in Escondido, CA is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative, skilled treatment to geriatric patients and contribute to recovery.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited OTA program and an active state license where applicable; all levels of experience are welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices under supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments as required.
• Report treatment outcomes and effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

PALOMAR VISTA HEALTHCARE CENTER - ESCONDIDO, CA

Palomar Vista Healthcare Center in Escondido, CA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

PRN: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $40 - $47 /hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
