Job summary

Benchmark Therapy and Rehab in Ohio is seeking a full‑time COTA to join our home-based therapy team. You will support Occupational therapists by delivering therapy in patients’ homes, implementing plans, and helping clients regain daily living skills.

Candidates must hold an Ohio OTA license and possess strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to document patient progress and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in Ohio.
• Previous home care experience is a plus.
• Strong communication with patients and families.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to home settings.

Responsibilities

Job description

Benchmark Therapy and Rehab, a large therapy practice in Ohio is looking for a full time and consistent PRN COTA to join our practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their home.
• Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Help patients develop or regain daily living skills and functional abilities in their home setting.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises

Note: License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.

SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Experience in home care setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients , their caregivers and healthcare team members
• Ability to adapt to different patient needs and modify treatment plans accordingly based on their home environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during therapy sessions
