Benchmark Therapy and Rehab in Ohio is seeking a full-time and consistent PRN COTA to join our practice, providing in-home occupational therapy services under the direct supervision of an OT and Therapy Coordinator.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, helping patients develop daily living skills, monitoring progress, collaborating with healthcare team, and educating patients and families on therapeutic techniques; Ohio license required.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) shall be directly supervised by an OT and Therapy Coordinator.

• Assist Occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients in their home.
• Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Help patients develop or regain daily living skills and functional abilities in their home setting.
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.

License as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required for this position.

SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Experience in home care setting is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their caregivers and healthcare team members.
