Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Providing occupational therapy assistance in coordination with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals, following treatment plans and supporting patient rehabilitation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in providing occupational therapy for individuals evaluated by the occupational therapist, in conjunction with the OT treatment plan.
• Follow the treatment plan established by the OT.
• Work in conjunction with the individual's physician and therapist during the course of treatment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certified occupational therapy assistant with appropriate NYS license/eligibility.
