Job summary

M2 HEALTHCARE LTD is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled OT services in New York under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.

You will implement and modify the patient’s treatment plan, monitor responses, document progress, and contribute to progress reports in long term care settings.

Excellent communication and patient management skills are required, with NY licensure and prior long term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NY OTA license is required.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Relays information and referrals to the Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s OT plan of treatment with OTR supervision.
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Documents patient treatments and changes in condition as required.

• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with OTR supervision
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

COTA Duties Include:

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
