Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program
Computer Skills:

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Summary: Provide occupational therapy and related services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients, and adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines. Deliver quality patient care, including treatment planning, supervision of rehab techs (where applicable), and case management, while upholding professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in optimizing patients' functional abilities under OT supervision
  • Develop and strengthen the occupational therapy assistant program
  • Enhance professional skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education
  • Maintain valid state licensure and stay informed on industry issues
  • Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and appropriate delivery methods; provide quality care within these parameters
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols within facilities
  • Communicate effectively in English in instructions, documentation, and reports
