Job summary

AristaCare is seeking an Activities Recreation Director for a Weekend Per Diem shift in New Jersey. You will plan and direct the activity programs to meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with regulations and internal policies.

The role requires CTRS preferred, at least two years’ recent experience in a health-care setting’s activity program (one full-time), and eligibility as an OT/OTA or with a state-approved training. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• CTRS preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years, one of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Must be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant or have completed a state-approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of the facility.
• Assist in the development, administering, and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
• Provide consultation to staff and community agencies to meet residents' needs through activity programs.
• Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identifying and classifying routine activity tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids.
