Job summary

AristaCare is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a Weekend Per Diem role at our Edison, NJ location. You will deliver OT services, document and bill per CMS guidelines, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will plan and evaluate treatments, screen residents for needs, and maintain CMS-compliant records in NetHealth EMR. Ongoing CEU participation is encouraged to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy license.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapist services to residents per standards and procedures.
• Document and bill OT services according to CMS and department procedures.
• Evaluate residents and develop treatment plans with short and long-term goals.
• Screen residents regularly to determine intervention needs.
• Screen residents referred to therapy to determine intervention requirements.
• Evaluate data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Perform specialized evaluations as indicated.
• Communicate findings and plans to residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR systems.

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directingOccupational Therapistservices in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by DOR, Administrator, or regional support team to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions:

• Provide Occupational Therapistservices to residents in accordance with established standards of practice, Company procedures, Therapy Department procedures and productivity standards.

• Adhere to Company procedures regarding documentation and billing of Occupational Therapistservices.

• Demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.

• Conduct screening of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.

• Conduct timely screening of residents referred to physical therapy to determine the need for intervention/ treatment.

• Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.

• Conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.

• Develop treatment plans by establishing short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/ responsible parties, and interdisciplinary team members.

• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems

Education & Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapyfrom an accredited program

• Must have an active Occupational Therapy license in New Jersey

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification -
