Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients. You will serve as a role model in delivering professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Credentials include a Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) per IDFPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in IL per IDFPR and licensed as required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance and uses safe body mechanics.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Assesses for, creates, and fits custom splints/orthotics.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other health care providers.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine diagnoses and plan of care.
• Performs examinations with valid methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services and manages staff involvement.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team and documents per standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards.
• Serves as a clinical instructor when assigned.
• Participates in team and department activities and meetings.
• Performs reporting and other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Therapy
