Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess residents and apply treatments to help them develop, maintain and recover daily living skills. You may supervise assistants and interact with providers, case managers and families to coordinate care.

Candidates must hold an OT license in the relevant state; NBCOT certification is preferred for certain facilities. New graduates with a temporary license may be considered; valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred for Sanford Health facilities; may require valid driver's license.
• New graduates in the process of testing may be considered with a temporary license in MN/ND/SD/IA.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluations and provides interventions for residents/patients.
• Evaluates abilities and develops therapy goals.
• Documents information for evaluation and establishes plans.
• Provides education to improve functional outcomes.
• Demonstrates and applies current research into daily treatment.
• Provides ongoing education to peers in the area of expertise.
