Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital in Pierre, SD is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to coordinate and deliver OT services. You will implement individualized treatment plans for patients across the care continuum, from infants to seniors, to meet department objectives.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, creating and adjusting intervention goals, and documenting progress. Collaboration with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing teams is essential to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice upon hire.
• 1–3 years of clinical patient care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver occupational therapy services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs.
• Evaluate patients and gather data from records, interviews, and observations.
• Provide direct therapy services in various settings.
• Plan therapy within patient capabilities and coordinate with care plans.
• Prepare evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
