Job summary

ProCare Therapy is hiring a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support PreK students in a Brooklyn-area school, working full-time during regular daytime hours.

You will assess, plan, and implement therapy aligned with IEP goals for children ages 3-5, fostering independence and growth in motor, sensory, and self-care skills while collaborating with teachers, families, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Current NY State OT license.
• Experience in school-based OT with PreK or pediatric caseload.
• Skilled in assessment, intervention, and documentation for ages 3-5.
• Strong communication to collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff.
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to PreK students in accordance with IEP goals and school guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students' strengths and areas for growth.
• Develop individualized treatment plans targeting fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, administrators, and families to ensure best student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation for all sessions and student progress.
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development initiatives as needed.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners by working with a diverse PreK caseload near Brooklyn, NY. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Occupational Therapist skilled in supporting early childhood development within a school setting. Working 8:30AM - 3:30PM, you'll provide vital therapy services, fostering independence and growth in children ages 3-5.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license valid in New York State
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy, especially with PreK or pediatric populations
• Expertise in assessment, intervention, and documentation for children ages 3-5
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
