Job summary

Tandym-Group is working with a recognized New York City education network recruiting an Occupational Therapist for school-based services in Manhattan, with options across NYC boroughs for the 2026/2027 year.

The OT will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers while maintaining thorough documentation and participating

Qualifications

• Current New York State Occupational Therapist License, or eligibility for licensure with pending NYS OT license

Responsibilities

• Provide OT evaluations, screenings, assessments and direct treatment to school-aged students per IEPs and educational goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents and related service providers to support student achievement.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily notes, progress reports and annual reviews.
• Participate in CSE/IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed.
• Provide consultation and training to educational staff on adaptive strategies and sensory supports.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Education

Salary: USD65 - USD75 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, screenings, assessments, and direct treatment services to school-aged students in accordance with IEP mandates and educational goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care skills, classroom participation, and overall functional independence
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student achievement and educational success
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, progress reports, quarterly updates, annual reviews, and other required compliance records
• Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
• Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding adaptive strategies, classroom accommodations, sensory supports, and motor development techniques
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Occupational Therapist License, or eligibility for licensure with pending NYS OT license
