Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist to support students across multiple school sites in the Denver, CO area. This full-time, in-person role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team.

You will evaluate students, develop therapy plans, collaborate with educators and families, and participate in MDT and IEP processes to help students achieve educational goals and independent functioning in school settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Colorado OT license or eligibility.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide occupational therapy services to students to support educational performance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize independence in school.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.
• Travel between multiple school sites as required and maintain accurate documentation per district/state/federal requirements.

Role Overview

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and provide services to students whose fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills impact their educational performance. You will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve their educational goals and maximize independence in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to determine students' educational needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal requirements
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment, accommodations, and environmental modifications
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Travel between assigned school sites as required
