Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist PRN to join the team in Tampa, FL. You will evaluate patients, develop plans, and provide hands-on therapy to support recovery in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

You will document progress, adjust plans as needed, and educate patients and families to enable continued improvement. This role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based practice within a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s preferred.
• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license required.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) is required.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans with physicians.
• Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students, upholding hospital values.
