Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life. You will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on, evidence-based therapy in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, adjusting plans as needed, and educating patients and families to build understanding and confidence in recovery.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• OT professional designation and licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient functional abilities and creating individualized therapy plans.
• Delivering evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitoring progress, adjusting plans, and documenting outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to support recovery and engagement.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team for safe transitions of care.
• Leading by example and guiding therapy assistants and students.
