Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist for PRN coverage to join our care team. You will assess patients, develop therapy plans, and deliver hands-on interventions to promote independence and recovery, working with physicians and an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred.
• Current Florida OT license.
• Current BLS through AHA.
• Current FIM within 90 days of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and communication skills; PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners for seamless care transitions.
• Lead and mentor therapy assistants or students when applicable.
