Puyallup Post Acute in Puyallup, WA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence in daily activities and return home safely. You’ll build treatment plans with clinical freedom and collaborate with a rehab team to support recovery after surgery, illness, or injury.

Requires an OT degree (MOT/MSOT/OTD), Washington license or eligibility, NBCOT certification, and experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehab with EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have MOT/MSOT/OTD from an accredited OT program.
• Hold Washington state OT license or be eligible and NBCOT certified.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or rehab is preferred.
• Proficient in documenting in EMR systems.

Responsabilités

• Complete OT evaluations per physician orders and payer guidelines.
• Build individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, safety, and independence.
• Provide hands-on therapy and co-treat with PT, SLP, and nursing.
• Screen residents who could benefit from OT services.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on progress and safe discharge strategies.
• Guide COTAs, rehab techs, and students in treatment planning.
• Document evals, daily notes, and progress summaries in EMR.
• Help develop new rehab programs and protocols with the Rehab Director.
• Lead in-services to share expertise with the team.
