Job summary

Magnolia Post Acute in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our rehab team on a full-time basis, with additional weekend and PRN coverage as needed. You will evaluate and treat residents, customize OT plans to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs, educate families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support recovery and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited OT program and hold a VA OT license.

Responsibilities

• Address residents' performance to support engagement in occupations
• Select and adapt OT treatment models and approaches
• Apply interventions to maximize ADL/IADL performance
• Teach clients to break down tasks into achievable components
• Assess home and environment and advise on adaptations
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, document progress toward goals
• Collect data and document processes
• Regularly follow up with clients
