Job summary

PrimeHealthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. The OT will evaluate and treat patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments to help regain ADLs and independence. You will work within an interdisciplinary care team toward discharge planning.

Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, full-time employment. Benefits available including health/dental/vision insurance, paid vacation, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state OT certification/license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate required.
• National Board for Certification in OT (NBCOT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess functional abilities using standard assessments and interviews to determine independence and needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and discharge needs.
• Train patients in ADLs such as dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and transferring.
• Recommend and train use of adaptive equipment to compensate for limitations.
• Suggest environmental modifications to improve safety and accessibility.
• Educate patients and families on ongoing care and home or rehab facility plans.
