Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our patient‑centered care team. You will assess patients, develop individualized therapy plans, deliver evidence‑based interventions, and help restore independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, document progress thoroughly, educate patients and families, and support smooth transitions of care in a high‑volume hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• OTR or OT licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs; develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and safe environments.
• Lead by example, supporting therapy assistants or students and upholding our mission and values.
