Valley Health System in Kraft Center seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, focusing on functional activities and rehab planning. The successful candidate will use therapeutic modalities and ADL/work simulations in a dynamic care setting.
Requirements include NBCOT certification, NJ OT licensure, CPR, and strong communication with the care team. At least 1 year in acute care, rehab, or related settings is preferred.
To evaluate and treat patients in a variety of age groups with physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases utilizing techniques which incorporate functional activities, exercise, physical modalities, splinting, perceptual and cognitive training, and activities of daily living and work simulation.
Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital, nursing home, school situation, or rehabilitation facility in the field of occupational therapy. Home care experience preferred.
