Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Rehab Services. Required credentials include BLS and Florida-credentialed OTR. A Bachelor's degree is required; Master’s or Doctorate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Registered Rehab Therapist (OTR) credential from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy is required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s ability to perform independent living skills and design the care plan.
• Implement the treatment plan, document progress and adjust as needed.
• Educate patient and family about deficits and discharge planning.
• Oversee therapists assistants and technicians according to regulations.
