Job summary

Adoration Health is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist in Destin, FL to deliver 1:1 patient care in a home health setting. You will perform comprehensive OT evaluations, prescribe adaptive equipment, and develop goals to maximize independence.

Collaboration with physicians, families, and the care team is essential for effective treatment. Responsibilities include documenting services for accurate billing and supervising OT Assistants when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have CAPTE-approved Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT licensure in the state.
• CPR certification required (may be offered on hire).
• Two years of adult OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OT evaluations and treatments based on physician orders and adaptive equipment needs.
• Set measurable goals and develop treatment plans for independence.
• Maintain communication with treatment team, patients, and families.
• Maintain thorough documentation for proper billing.
• Supervise OT assistants in direct patient care as applicable.

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, You will:

• Perform occupational therapy evaluation and treatment of patients based upon physician orders, including recommendation and procurement of adaptive equipment
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function
• Maintain communication among the treatment team, physician, patient, and family members as applicable
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services provided to ensure proper billing
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Education program approved by CAPTE
• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in State and American Heart Association CPR certification required; CPR certification may be offered and completed upon hire
• Two (2) years of experience in adult occupational therapy, home health experience preferred
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; physical therapy skills per competency checklist
